Dante Rivera
 Dante
Rivera has been one of Sydney's most longstanding DJs. Since
his early days at 'players' and the 'Oz Rock' to current
residencies at the super cool 'Mars Lounge' "sublime@home'
and 'The Civic', his sound has evolved from funk and New
Jack Swing through to commercial dance to all styles of
Latin Electronic and House music. Dante has consistently
been a versatile, passionate and energetic DJ and it's been
20 years now since his first DJ gig at an under 18's party
in a church. In that time Dante Rivera has owned his own
club, played on radio, in clubs, at festivals, parties
weddings and 21sts, not to mention DJed around Australia,
New Zealand and South America. He is the DJ that brought
Latin electronic music into the mainstream in Australia and
he is the household name within the Latin community here.
But more importantly.... he has been the only Latin DJ in
Sydney to crossover into the mainstream club scene. Rivera
is the original party starter and the undisputable King of
Latin House.
Dante describes his encounters with his public as his
opportunity to inject his "drug" (his mixes). People ask him
,why dj .?He simply replies ,"The energy and the vibe that
the crowd produces right at the peak of the night ,is what's
kept me going ,on for 20 years.
Over so many years of experience , including the different
clubs and events that have been performed , you get to know
a large amount of people, this contributes to his following
fans that range from all ages . The sound that he tries to
create is a new of Latino underground , Electronic music -
LATIN HOUSE - a trend of music that has been very popular
internationally for a long time.
